Rafael Escamilla holds a PhD in Regional Economics from the Catholic University of Valencia and a degree in Law from the University of Valencia.
During his professional career, he has completed various specialisation studies in Community Policies in Brussels. He has more than 25 years of activity in the field of Internationalisation, European Programmes and Business Innovation, having worked during this time in transnational projects with more than 50 countries.
He is currently Head of the European Programmes and Competitiveness Service of IVACE - Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness - and is also technically responsible for IVACE's collaboration with the Valencian Community-European Region Foundation of the Presidency of the Generalitat, based in Brussels.
Rafael Escamilla was a foundational member of EURADA back in late 1991, being present in the signing of the foundational document that was approved in 1992, which established EURADA as the association it is today.
